Got A Hold On You

Well, I've gotten off to a crap start with the new blog, haven't I? I've got nothing to offer to make up for that...

You've read my previous blogs about quitting smoking and starting a running program so here's a little update about all that. I'm 34 days smoke free today and I think I'm well on my way to being a full-fledged runner again. All the aches and pains have gone from my runs and my breathing gets better each time. The possibilities are endless.

Some of you may know that tomorrow there is a General Election in the U.K. Almost all of you have no idea that I've been following it almost as closely as someone who lives there. With my being slightly obsessed with all things British I can't help but watch it all unfold and wait to see the outcome. My friend Amity, who lives there wrote a blog about it with a slight twist.

We leave in just 13 short days for our vacation. A vacation that will take us to Bermuda, St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk, New York City, and finally Charlotte. I'm excited about all of it and can not wait to get a proper tan, finally meet Teresa, and spend some time in the city that Adam loves so much, not to mention Teresa's back deck. The only negative to our two week vacation is that little Emerson will be all alone. Luckily his Aunt Andrea and Ann will come over to take care of him every so often. I'll miss the little guy even though he clearly prefers Adam to me.

I won't promise to be better about blogging since you see how well it's worked out so far.
