My friend Duane was in town this weekend visiting his brother and he carved out a little time for me today. It was great seeing him as he's all the way in Seattle and even though I travel for a living I don't get out that way often. Having him in Chicago was a plus as he's a huge fan of the city and always loves wandering around and discovering new neighborhoods. We had a couple Bloody Mary's at brunch and then walked around while I did a little Christmas shopping.
After showing him our condo we headed over to Lincoln Square and walked up and down Lincoln Avenue and stopped into a couple bars for a few more libations. It was great catching up with him and having him in my city.
